For the 18th issue of Neue Narrative I was asked to illustrate an article about how to improve appreciation at the workplace and it's different languages. Written by Taraneh Taheri .

At tipBerlin some illustrations were needed for an article about different products and trends where energy is created in a sustainable way. From a club that generated energy from dancing to a cinema with stationary bikes that make the movie run!

At tipBerlin some illustrations were needed for an article explaning the school system in Berlin. Apparently children and parents strugle to navigate it, due to it's complexity. Illustrations help to ligthen up the pages and make them easier to read!

I worked for tipBerlin several times these are the results. The first group of illustrations are for an article about schools in the countryside outside Berlin, in Brandenburg. As for the opening piece, the cow, I wanted to be clear with the subject we were talking about. Elements like a farm, a tractor or a haystack poped out in the first sketches, we decided to go witht his one.
This edition is dedicated to families, and the piece talks about 30 family friendly spots in Berlin. From Mauerpark to Märchenbrunenn, from Acuarium to Naturkunden Museum, plenty of activities to do with the young ones. This time the client asked to draw on top of the images, what a challenge!
After deciding on the style on how to draw on the photographs, I started. The hardest part was to make the illustrations integrate in the image but not in a realistic way, the client didn't want correct perspective, colors or proportional figures, so it had to work with the image and could get out of it, which at the end resulted very playful. The other challenge was to do whimsical and quirky stuff that would talk to children.
